‘Opportunity Detroit’ ideas contest launched
[Initial registration is due 30 April] The American company Rock Ventures has launched an open ideas contest for an 8,500m² site in Detroit.
Applicants are invited to submit any site use they see fit with the exception of ‘pure open space or a park’.
The organisers are on the hunt for ‘a signature project’ and have announced a £14,700 prize fund to be split between the top three entrants.
Schemes will be judged on their original design concepts, innovative use of the site, a view to including retail spaces and if the project is deemed as a ‘creative response’ to the downtown area.
Initial registration is due 30 April
Questions to be received 13 May
Final submissions are due 31 May
Awards announced 12 June
