Open-City seeks architectural installations for children
[Applications are due 8 April] Open-City has opened its Arch-Innovate competition, seeking proposals for ‘original and innovative’ activities to run during the Archikids Festival
Running from 17 to 19 May, the festival aims to encourage seven to twelve year olds to experiment with architecture.
The contest is themed around materials, scale, strength and end users. Ten winners will receive £750 to £1000 to realise their proposals.
Some sites are already available and applicants are encouraged to suggest locations which would be capable of hosting between 100 and 200 children during the two day festival.
