Netherlands Architectural Institute launches biodiversity contest

[Submissions should be received by 29 February 2012] The Netherlands Architecture Institute and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs have launched an ideas competition focusing on biodiversity with a £30,000 prize fund

The Green Architecture Competition seeks proposals for specific regions which aim to boost biodiversity through design. Entrants may specify any region for their design.

The competition has two categories. The first is open to regional-scale proposals and the second focuses on smaller built solutions.

Sustainability features could include environmental strategies and modified building techniques.

A total prize fund of £30,000 will be split between three winners in each category.
