Nashville brownfield ideas competition launched

[Registration to be completed by 27 July] The Nashville Civic Design Center in Tennessee has launched an ideas contest for a 30 hectare brownfield site beside the Cumberland River

The competition seeks ‘innovative concepts’ with a focus on recreation spaces for the regeneration of the area.

Submissions should include event spaces, residential and commercial areas and consider at least five ‘alternative’ sports uses for the site.

Designs are expected to take account of the 100 year-old floodplain which covers 20 hectares of the site.

A £5,700 prize will be split between the top three entries with the competition finalists featuring in an exhibition in October.
