Montreal competition set to launch next month

The contest to redevelop Montreal’s largest museum will launch in February

The Space for Life museum is set to launch an international contest for three projects across the museum’s site.

Part of a £25 million redevelopment the work includes the Insectarium’s Metamorphosis project, the renewal of the museum’s Biodôme and the Botanical Garden’s Glass Pavilion, alongside a series of ‘innovative’ architectural pavilions.

Design teams should include architects, engineers, landscape architects, and LEED and Living Building Challenge certification experts.

A winning team is expected to be chosen in July 2014.

Entries will be accepted from February with a further brief launched early in the month through the museum’s page.
