Masterplanner sought for new Lancashire park

  • Comment

South Ribble Borough Council in Lancashire is on the hunt for an architect to masterplan its new Central Park

The winning team will develop the strategy for a ‘high quality, fun and viable community space’ planned to complete in the next 15 years.

The masterplanner must create an evidence-based design proposal which can be used to build consensus around the park’s benefits.

Design concepts, financial estimates, a delivery plan and management scheme will also be required.

Plans for the new park were first announced in April this year during the 40th anniversary celebrations of South Ribble Borough Council.

The 60 hectare linear green space will span from Bamber Bridge and Lostock Hall in the south to the River Ribble in the north.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 14 July.
