Lightwoods Park restoration, West Midlands
[Requests to participate must be completed by 10 August] Architectural services are required for the restoration of Lightwoods Park, Smethwick
The project includes numerous buildings inside the park and has a total budget of £4,700,000.
Buildings in line for restoration include the 1791 Grade II-listed Lightwoods House and its adjacent buildings, the bandstand and a horticultural training area.
A new children’s play park and new shrubs alongside bedding planted areas are also planned. Other Park features up for replacement range from drinking fountains, footpath improvements, new signage, street furniture and lighting.

The contract is due to begin on 5 December and conclude on 16 October 2015. There is a budget of £309,000 for RIBA stages A to D, and a budget of £4,400,000 for stages E to L. The total budget is £4,700,000.
