Kansas City Union Station ideas contest launched

[Submissions to be received by 30 June] The American Institute of Architects in Kansas City is accepting submissions in an ideas contest to redevelop Kansas City’s Union Station

Open to students and professionals internationally, teams and individuals are called for to design a ‘regional transportation hub’.

Entries are welcomed in three categories including new ideas for rail transport and innovative schemes already built.

Designs specifically for the future of the City’s Union Station are also called for on the city centre site.

The entries and winners will form an exhibition opening October 2013 inside Kansas City’s current Union Station.
