Jerwood seeks new stars for England forest project

[Entries to be submitted by 28 May] Jerwood Visual Arts and the Forestry Commission in England are seeking ‘bold, broad-thinking’ proposals for a £30,000 commission

Ideas for the English Public Forest Estate may use any medium and be site specific or touring.

The contest is open to designers who have graduated in the past 15 years.

Five shortlisted teams will receive £2,000 each to develop proposals and a winner will be announced in January 2014

Hayley Skipper, curator of arts development at the Forestry Commission England, said: ‘This is the first time ever that we have invited artists to respond to the forests across England, we are looking for projects that really connect with this unique opportunity.’
