Italy opens Green Boulevards competition
[Registration to be completed by 5 November] Italy’s National Institute of Architecture has opened an international ‘Green Boulevards’ competition focused on renewable energy sources
Proposals should create energy producing ‘land art or environmental art’ inside existing infrastructure of the Lazio and Campania regions.
Energy production should not interfere with the normal and safe operation of the infrastructure sites. Schemes must also integrate any necessary roads or other transport requirements into the proposed landscape.
The top two entrants will each receive £8,000.
The top six design teams will be invited to discuss their proposals with the Municipal Government of Rome, the Regional Government of Campania and the Municipal Government of Salerno to form strategic themes for a regional masterplan.
Registration to be completed by 5 November
Submissions to be uploaded before 15 November
Awards presented 24 November
