International contest opens to revamp Warsaw rotunda

[Registration closes 15 July] The Union of Polish Architects and the Polish Green Building Council have launched an international ideas competition focusing on Warsaw’s iconic rotunda building

The two-phase contest seeks ‘innovative designs’ to transform the circular structure into a ‘sustainable face’ for Bank Polski.

A £40,000 prize fund has been announced and the winning scheme is planned to be constructed subject to funding.

Shortlisted schemes will be notified in August with a second submission then due in November.

The prize winning team must collaborate with a registered Polish architect to complete the build.

Registration for phase one entries closes on 15 July and can be completed online
