[Expressions of interest to be received 15 August] Cardiff Council is on the hunt for a conservation architect to lead the redevelopment and renewal of Insole Court in Llandaff, Cardiff.

A scheme has been developed to RIBA Stage D by Purcell with full planning and listed building consent applications submitted. Teams are called for to deliver the project to RIBA Stage L in two phases.

Phase one will see the restoration of the site’s historic stable block and new build potting sheds and cafe spaces. Phase two is set to cover works to the man house through restoration alongside adaptation and a new build community space in the stable yard.

The lead architect will be expected to name a full design team providing services in structural engineering, environmental consultancy, landscape design, cost consultancy and CDM. Associated graphic and fixed furniture design is also called for.

The 16 month contract has an estimated value of £300,000.
