Ideas contest launches for Finnish travel centre

The City of Tampere and the Finnish Transport Agency have launched an ideas competition for a new travel and service centre

Experienced masterplanners are invited to submit ideas for a transport interchange, which also contains elements of public realm, offices and housing.

Plans of the competition area and existing regional masterplans are available through the competition page with documents available in English and Finnish.

Requests to participate must be returned by 17 February. Five teams will be selected to compete, with the winners receiving £66,000.
