Housing the poor: student design comp launched by Spanish Uni

The Spanish IE University has launched a student contest to design housing proposals for the ‘poor and at risk’

The international contest, which calls for schemes to ‘improve urban environments’, is open to student teams and recent graduates.

Entrants can suggest their own sites, with proposals judged on appropriateness to site specific conditions, design quality and innovation.

The winners will receive a £17,200 scholarship to attend a degree or research course at IE University.

Registration is free but must be completed by 10 December, submissions are due 16 December with the winners announced 28 February.
