The Rome Prize in Architecture is now accepting 2014 applications for the six month residency at the British School at Rome

British architects hoping to complete a ‘creative and focused project’ in the city are welcome to apply for the 2014 award which runs from October 2014 to March 2015.

Described as ‘a unique experience, architecturally, intellectually and socially’ by former winner Bob Allies the residency includes a grant of £700 per month towards travel expenses over the period.

Alongside residency and board at the school for up to six months, the winner will take part in a planned exhibition every three months.

Completed application forms and curriculum vitae are due by 7 February through the School’s page with the winner to be chosen based on the quality of the applicants ‘proposed creative output’.

Applicants should have some grasp of Italian or be willing to learn in order to be considered.
