Garden Museum seeks architect for revamp

[Requests to participate to be received by 20 January 2013] The Garden Museum in London is on the hunt for an architect-led design team for an expansion project

Planned works include restorating the museum inside the church and churchyard of St Mary’s at Lambeth and extending its exhibition space.

A new building is also expected to be built inside the museum grounds.

The contract has an estimated value of £420,000 with its completion expected in early 2016.

Established in 1977, the museum is based inside a deconsecrated church once threatened with demolition.

The first phase of the refurbishment project began in 2008 with the conversion of gallery spaces
