Architects needed for an antenna tower in Turkey, a transport interchange in Portsmouth and the transformation of the Alexandra Estate’s Grade II-listed Jack Taylor School. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

Portsmouth City Council is seeking an architect to design a new £3.5 million transport interchange and public space as part of a redevelopment masterplan. Set to complete in 2016, the project will be developed up to RIBA Stage D in time for a planning submission in May 2014 [Tenders due by 25 November]

Turkey’s Governor of Çanakkale has opened an international contest to design a 300m-tall antenna tower with public spaces and buildings. The project is expected to attract tourists and provide local services. A £110,000 prize will be shared between the winner and shortlisted entries [Registrations due by 27 November]

Camden Council is looking for a team to transform Alexandra Estate’s Grade II-listed Jack Taylor School into a modern college for students with ‘severe and complex needs’. Planned to open in September 2015, the £3.4 million project will create a social ‘hub’ and education area alongside up to nine residential units [Expressions of interest due 18 November]
