Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is on the hunt for architectural services for the restoration of Lightwoods Park in Birmingham. The project includes the restoration of a Grade II-listed mansion, a bandstand and surrounding parkland’s planting and landscaping. Requests to participate must be completed by 10 August.
The University of Bremen in Germany has launched an ideas competition seeking proposals for a new ‘Academic Interchange’ visitor facility. In November the first and second place winners will be invited to a symposium in New York to present their schemes. Registration must be completed by 30 July.
RIBA and high street bank Nationwide are seeking entries to the third annual Nationwide Sustainable Housing Awards. Now open to both practicing architects and students, the contest is regeneration-themed and this year has a £20,000 prize fund. Entries must be submitted by end of October.
