Goldsmiths, University of London has launched a design competition for a 400m² art gallery. The contest – which will be judged by David Chipperfield, Antony Gormley and philanthropist Candida Gertler – will create exhibition space inside water tanks(pictured) on the Grade II-listed Laurie Grove Baths. Islington Council, London is seeking an architect to overhaul the Grade II*-listed Caledonian Park Clock Tower and create a new visitor centre. The appointed team will spearhead the £1 million project from RIBA stage B to D, then beyond subject to planning and HLF funding. [Deadline for expressions of interest 1 April]
The University of Southampton is on the hunt for an architect for a new business school. The appointed practice will design and deliver the new-build project, for which a final site and scale have yet to be disclosed. Eight shortlisted teams will be invited to compete.
