The Tate St Ives extension, a university framework and a transport interchange in Helsinki. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

Tate St Ives in Cornwall is seeking an architect for a 900m² extension. Services from RIBA Stage A to L are required under the newly retendered contract. The project has a £7.5 million budget and was originally won by Jamie Fobert Architects six years ago. Renovation of the existing building may either be added to the job or tendered at a later date. [Expressions of interest must be received by 10 November]

The University of Westminster is on the hunt for architects for a four-year framework agreement which covers new-build, refurbishment and maintenance projects. Planned new-build projects in the £40 million framework include a halls of residence, library and sports centre. [Completed PPQs must be received by 14 November]

Roofing company Cembrit has launched an international ideas competition seeking designs for a train and bus station in Helsinki, Finland. Proposals must use fibre cement in an innovative way. A £20,000 prize fund is available, with the top three proposals being made into prototypes. [Submissions must |be received by 15 January]
