The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has launched a restricted international design competition for a new road bridge over the Nidelva River near Sluppen in Trondheim. Five teams will be shortlisted and invited to prepare designs following the completion of prequalification questionnaires in Norwegian [Deadline for requests to participate 8 August]

The National Trust for Scotland is seeking an architect for the £12 million regeneration of the David Livingstone Centre in Blantyre. The winning team will carry forward Gareth Hoskins’ masterplan to transform the famous explorer’s Grade A-listed home into a jungle-themed adventure park [Deadline for requests to participate 25 July]

The Bloomsbury Association has opened an international ideas contest to reinvent London’s Eisenhower Centre. Graduates and students of art, design and architecture are invited to submit concepts for the former deep-level shelter which the American general – and later president – used as his headquarters during the Second World War. The winner will receive £1,000 [Deadline for submissions 11 July]
