Lviv monastery, University College Dublin’s Confucius Centre and Guildford College. The editor’s pick of this weeks top competitions

The Ukrainian city of Lviv has launched a public-realm design contest for its Bernardine Monastery complex (pictured), calling for proposals for pedestrianised public spaces in and around the historic religious site. Entrants must hold a bachelor degree in architecture, landscape design or urban design. A £5,660 (€7,200) prize fund will be split between the top four entries. [Registration must be completed by 17 August]

University College Dublin has invited expressions of interest for a Chinese Studies building on its Belfield campus. Architects are sought to lead a design team for the University College Dublin Confucius Centre project. Shortlisted applicants will be paid an honorarium of £5,500 each. [Request to participate to be received by 24 July]

Guildford College of Further and Higher Education is on the hunt for a design team for the renewal of its estate. The construction works are budgeted at £12–15 million and the four-year framework is expected to feature a maximum of five participants. [Requests to participate to be received by 3 August]
