Competitions: Editor's Pick, 17.01.13

London’s Tricycle Theatre, Islington Council framework and the Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship. The Editor’s pick of this week’ top competitions

London’s Tricycle Theatre is seeking a design team for a £2.4 million refurbishment and remodeling project. An architect is sought to lead the design team which will include engineers and a theatre consultant which are to be separately appointed. The team will take the project from RIBA stage C through to completion. Completion is due in April 2015 with works to being in May [Requests to participate 6 February]

Islington Council is seeking architects for a four year framework. Covering council buildings including housing and health facilities, the £400,000 contract is aimed at small to medium sized businesses. PQQs will be required [Expressions of interest are due 30 January]

Applications are now being received to the 2013 RIBA Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship. Now in its sixth year, the prize is open to UK and international students and the winner will receive a £6,000 grant to fund ‘research on a topic related to the survival of our towns and cities.’ Submissions must include an A1 illustration of the proposal with one applicant welcome from each school of architecture [Submissions must be received by 26 April]
