Climbing wall manufacturer Walltopia has launched an international one-stage contest for a new sports centre in Sofia, Bulgaria (pictured). The Collider Activity Centre scheme will include a climbing area and multi-purpose sports rooms. Five shortlisted teams will receive £4,000 each, with the winner taking home £20,000 and the commission. [Registration to be completed by 15 February 2013]

Guildford Borough Council is seeking architectural services for 65 new homes on three council-owned sites. The scheme, which has detailed planning approval, includes flats, site infrastructure and landscaping. The contract is due to begin in March 2013 and complete by January 2016. [Expressions of interest to be received by 21 November]

The ZEZEZE Architecture Gallery in Beersheba, Israel has launched an open international competition for an 80-person, 1,530m² adult care centre. The first 700m² phase has a £1.3 million budget. The winning proposal will be invited to complete the design. [Submissions must be received by 3 February 2013]
