A new indoor swimming pool for Dartmouth and three masterplans for Thames Valley Housing - the insider’s guide to what’s hot this week

The Dartmouth and District Indoor Pool Trust has launched a search for a multi-disciplinary team to design Dartmouth’s (above) first indoor swimming pool. The project, which has outline permission, has a design and construction budget ‘in the region of £2.5 million’. The closing date for expressions of interest is 7 May.

Thames Valley Housing is after at least three masterplanners (work estimated at £250,000) and five architects (work with an estimated value of £3 million) for projects to be carried out over four years across Berkshire, Surrey, south-west London, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Greater London. The deadline for requests to participate is 2pm on 5 May.

Making Space 2010 is an international award set up to promote ‘innovation, creativity and sustainability in design for children and young people’. Submissions are invited for the most successful building or space (indoor and outdoor) for children aged 0-18 (inclusive) completed between January 2005 and December 2010. The deadline for entries is 8 August.
