America’s Land Art Generator Initiative has launched an open international ideas competition focusing on the sustainable future of cities. Teams are invited to propose public artworks which generate renewable energy inside Copenhagen’s disused Refshaleøen shipyards [Guidelines released January 2014]

Ards Borough Council in Northern Ireland is seeking an architect-led design team to deliver a £25 million leisure facility in Newtownards. The 8,000m² new build should include outdoor sports pitches and a skatepark. Teams should include civil and structural engineers [Requests to participate due 2 December]

Malcolm Reading Consultants is to launch an international competition for a new, modern history wing at Mumbai’s Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum. The 10,000m² extension will feature permanent galleries, a temporary exhibition space, an interpretation centre, library, shop and café. A winner will be announced in March 2014 [Launches December 2013]
