Rosehill Theatre, the 2013 Berkeley Prize and a £14 million hotel in Inverness. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

Rosehill Arts Trust is seeking an architect for a £500,000 refurbishment of its Cumbrian theatre. A design team is sought to take the scheme from RIBA stage D to completion as part of a 15-month-long contract. Works are expected to include an extension to the 208-seat theatre, which opened in 1959 [Requests to participate 3 April]

University of California has reopened its Berkeley Prize fund which offers four teaching fellowships. Open to all teachers of undergraduates and diploma architecture students, the international fellowship will award £5,000 to each tutor. Submissions include a 500-word brief outlining the applicant’s credentials and proposed syllabus detailing what they hope to achieve [Proposals due 1 April]

Albyn Housing Society is looking for an architect to design a £14 million hotel in Inverness. A design team is sought to develop a 120-bed hotel to RIBA stage C with an option to extend to stage L. The appointed team must be RIBA or RIAS registered [Documents to be returned by 29 March]
