The Architecture Foundation, Royal Shakespeare Company and University of York. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

The Architecture Foundation is calling for architect-led teams to take part in workshops focusing on challenges facing the Moorings Housing Estate in Thamesmead, London. Four teams will be selected and each will receive an honorarium to develop proposals for the 1,200-home, 1960s complex. [Portfolios of previous works due 23 September]

The Royal Shakespeare Company is seeking an architect-led design team to deliver its new costume workshop in Stratford-upon-Avon. The chosen team will develop designs up to RIBA stage D in support of an Arts Council funding application and will progress to construction drawings if the application is successful [PQQs required by 30 September]

The University of York is looking for an architect-led team for a £7 million Environmental Building. The 3,832m² new build facility will feature laboratories, offices and teaching areas. A team will be appointed in October. [Requests to participate to be received 24 September]
