The Department for Education is seeking a design team for a new headquarters inside Whitehall’s Grade II-listed Old Admiralty Building. The 18,000m² project will transform the prestigious eighteenth century complex into a base for 1,600 civil servants by 2017. Renfrewshire Council is seeking an architect to overhaul the Category A-listed Russell Institute in Paisley, Scotland. Philips Lighting has invited architects to submit urban projects for its annual ‘city.people.light’ award. The international prize recognises the best projects using lighting to boost night-time identity and cultural heritage.
