Competitions: Editor's Pick, 02.05.13

Moscow’s Zaryadye Park, Wandsworth primary school extensions and the Architecture Foundation. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

Moscow’s Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design has opened an international design contest for Zaryadye Park. Proposals for a year-round ‘contemporary’ park are sought for the 130,000m² city centre site, which has been unused for six years. Six teams will be shortlisted and receive a stipend to develop designs. The winner will be chosen in November. [Registration due by 22 May]

Wandsworth Borough Council is looking for design services to extend two schools. The tender is divided into two lots covering a £217,000 upgrade of Albemarle Primary School and a £245,000 addition to Sheringdale Primary School. [Expressions of interest due by 23 May]

The Architecture Foundation is calling for ‘innovative, independent exhibitions and installations’ to feature in its project space next year. The 67m² ‘exhibition testing ground’ is open to artists, architects and curators with unshown projects in the UK. Two selected schemes will receive a £1,500 budget. [Applications due 10 May]
