Clay Farm community centre, a Passivehaus contest in Sofia and the Northern Ireland Prison Service’s framework. The editor’s pick of this week’s top competitions

Cambridge City Council is looking for a design-led consultancy team for its Clay Farm community centre project. Multidisciplinary teams are needed to deliver a multi-use community centre on PRP’s 2,300-home Clay Farm development 3.7km south of Cambridge. The contract has a £700,000 budget and is due to begin 11 June 2012 [Requests to participate must be received by 27 February]

Students and professionals have been invited to submit proposals for a Passivehaus project near Sofia, Bulgaria. The two-stage open ideas competition seeks 120m² to 180m² schemes which prove PassiveHaus homes can be ‘affordable and beautiful’[Registration should be completed by March 16]

The Northern Ireland Prison Service is on the hunt for architect-led design teams for its four year framework agreement. The contract works with a value of up to £750,000 and may also include capital projects with a value of up to £5,000,000. Facilities covered by the job include the service’s Headquarters in Belfast [Requests to participate must be received by 22 February]
