DOSA museum design contest, Sardinia

[Proposals must be received by 18 October] The Sardinian city of Villaputzu in Italy has invited architects to submit proposals for a new museum which will accompany an archaeological site

The contest seeks proposals for a new museum close to the Villaputzu archaeological excavations which will house artefacts and use two existing irrigation tanks in its design. The brief also calls for a sustainable solution to irrigate the area.

A prize fund of 16,000 Euros is available for the top three entrants with a budget of 2 million Euros earmarked for the building’s construction.

A full set of plans and site photographs are available.
