Design contest opens for Zaryadye Park in Moscow

[Registration must be completed by 22 May] Moscow’s Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design has opened an international design contest for the new Zaryadye Park

Proposals for a year-round ‘contemporary’ park are sought for the 130,000m² city centre site which has been unused for six years.

Six teams will be shortlisted and receive a stipend to develop designs.

A winner will be chosen in November. A contract is expected to be drawn up to see the chosen design implemented however a fixed start date for the scheme has yet to be announced.
