Design contest launches for new Copenhagen hospital

An international contest has launched for a new hospital in Copenhagen

A two-stage international design contest has been launched for a new £166 million wing for Copenhagen’s Bispebjerg Hospital.

A shortlist of three teams will each receive £44,430 and the winner – to be announced in spring 2015 – will receive the same sum again and the design contract.

BDP won a contest to masterplan the £430 million hospital last summer.

Work on site is expected to take up to twelve years.

Requests to participate are due by 8 January 2014 and should be made in Danish or English through the allocated page.
