Design contest for temporary pavilion in Miami launched

Not for profit organisation Dawntown has put out an open call for portfolios to build a pavilion in an underused area of Miami

Following the open call for portfolios the shortlisted teams in the free to enter contest will be given a specific site, budget and timeline in a detailed brief.

The contest will focus on areas deemed ‘neglected, abandoned, or underused’ inside Miami city

The final winner will be selected from the stage two submissions and awarded a construction budget and the chance to complete their build.

Registration closes 17 January 2014, finalists will be announced 30 January, with an overall winner selected 30 March.
