Dallas launches ‘Connected City’ ideas contest

[Open category proposals due 3 October] Dallas has opened an international ideas competition looking for schemes connecting downtown Dallas and the Trinity River

The competition features an open category and a professional category with entrants asked to create ‘bold’ solutions linking the city and river over a 712,000m² area.

Architects, planners and engineers are invited to the professional category with each team required to submit a letter of intent alongside a portfolio of works. Both professionals and students may submit to the open category.

Four winners chosen by public vote and each awarded £3,200.
