Contest opens to design Olympics HQ in Switzerland
[Stage 1 submissions must be received by 15 May] The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has launched an international hunt for an architect to design its new headquarters in Switzerland
The 18,000m² ‘Olympic Campus’ building will house 450 IOC staff on a 2.4 hectare site next to Lake Geneva.
A shortlist will be selected in June with each finalist receiving £21,000 to develop their proposals
The selection process will be based on each applicant’s ‘approach to the problem’ and their ‘references’.
An additional prize fund of £70,400 has been announced with the winners to be chosen by Jacques Rogge IOC President and other officials.
Stage 1 submissions must be received by 15 May
Stage 2 shortlist selected 17 June
Stage 2 submissions due 1 November
Judging will take place December
