Contest launches for West Kowloon arts pavilion
Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District Authority has launched an international contest to design a £1.6 million arts pavilion
‘Original and inspiring’ schemes are required for the 470m² water-front site overlooking the Victoria Harbour.
The pavilion will supplement the Herzog and de Meuron-designed M+ museum, acting as an exhibition and events space until it completes.
International teams will be required to partner with a Hong Kong Institute of Architects registered practice. Registration must be completed before 28 October through the contest page.
Submissions will be received up until 22 November with the winners announced December 2013.
