Ceramics of Italy Pavilion Design Contest, Florida
[submissions must be received by 3 October] Ceramics of Italy call for entries to design and build their 280m² trade show pavilion in Florida
Expected to attract 20,000 visitors this year, the pavilion is due to house a restaurant with flexible spaces to be used as seating and also during presentations; an information point and sales area must also be provided.
With a construction budget of $100,000 the pavilion’s material choice should reflect the ceramics represented and include them specifically though not exclusively.
The winner will receive $25,000 in design and management fees along with the built project which has formerly been completed by designers such as Aldo Rossi and Bernard Tschumi.
Entries must be received by 3 October
Winners will be notified 10 October
Construction will take place April 2012
