Cameroon anti-Malaria retrofit housing contest opens
[Registration must be completed by 20 June] Architecture charity Archive has launched an international contest to retrofit 24 housing units in Cameroon to help reduce the transmission of Malaria
Open to students and professionals, the competition seeks proposals which combine common sense principles and innovative ideas.
Cameroon’s single-story houses are usually built without professional advice which leaves occupants vulnerable and without preventative measures against the disease.
The project covers two housing typologies both with a footprint of approximately 56m². The budget for each unit is £185.
The winners will receive £600 and take part in a ten day trip to Cameroon.
Relevant deadlines:
Registration must be completed by 20 June
Submissions to be received by 20 August
