Building Trust launches low cost housing ideas contest

[Registration must be completed by 30 June] Architectural charity the Building Trust has launched an open ideas contest to design a low cost home for single occupancy

Open to students and practicing architects, the contest seeks schemes below £20,000 for cities with populations more than 100,000 people.

Aimed at vulnerable users in developed countries, possible occupants include the homeless and the elderly.

Building Trust international will work with local governments and community groups to gain funding for the winning design.

Student entry is free and a £300 prize fund has been announced.
