Bispebjerg hospital masterplan, Copenhagen

[Requests to participate must be received by 28 October] Danish authorities are on the hunt for masterplans for a new hospital complex in the Bispebjerg suburb of Copenhagen

The scheme combines the existing Frederiksberg and Bispebjerg hospitals, creating a new medical centre that will serve more than 400,000 people.

Around 96,000m² of existing structures on the 26 hectare site will be retained while 121,000m² worth of new build structures are being planned.

A traffic management scheme, gardens and leisure areas should also be considered.

Up to three finalists will be chosen with the final winner planned to be announced in mid 2012.

A detailed breakdown of the construction budget and further details of the brief are available in English and Danish.
