[Registration to be completed before 7 September] County Cork’s Engage Arts Festival has launched a competition for architects to design street furniture

Open to practicing architects and students, the contest seeks ‘innovative, concept-led, contemporary pieces’ of street furniture for Bandon in County Cork, Ireland.

Proposed functions may include seating, lighting, bicycle stands, vending kiosks, planters, flower holders and or lighting.

The winning design must be ready for mass production, respond to the local area and be ‘strong in concept’. Its designer will receive £1,500 prize.
