Baltimore Red Line, infrastructure challenge

Urbanite Baltimore has launched an open design competition calling for architects to think up ways to deal with everyday construction problems encountered during the building of Baltimore’s proposed Red Line railway

Noise, dust, traffic, and limited pedestrian walkways will create problems within neighbourhoods and so designs proposing how to create productive urban space are sought.

The Red Line is a proposed 22.5km light railway crossing the city from east to west.
