Architecture Foundation launches 2014 European Prize for Urban Public Space
The Architecture Foundation in partnership with six other international bodies will soon launch the 2014 European Prize for Urban Public Space in an open call for entries
Entries are called for from ‘major’ projects completed between 2012 and 2013 which have created or improved a public space inside Europe.
Founded in 2000, previous winners include the renovation of the area surrounding River Ljubljanica pictured in 2012.
Other European institutions forming the jury include Barcelona’s Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona, Vienna’s Architekturzentrum Wien, Rotterdam’s Netherlands Architecture Institute, Paris’ Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, Helsinki’s Museum of Finnish Architecture and Frankfurt’s Deutsches Architekturmuseum.
Registration opens 21 October through the AF’s official page with submissions due by 23 January.
