Architects needed for Torquay primary school extensions

  • Comment

[Request to participate must be received by 3 February 2012] Torbay Council is on the hunt for architects to design multi-storey extensions to three of its primary schools

As part of a bid to create additional school spaces in the area, Torbay Council has tendered for architectural design services along with quantity surveyor and engineering services for a 20-month contract to extend and remodel three 1970s schools.

Two of the schools are within Torquay. One of these requires a single-storey four classroom block extension and the other needs a two-storey single classroom block with group areas.

The final school in nearby Paignton requires a 240m² hall, school kitchen and a three classroom block with plant rooms. Candidates may tender for multiple schools and or services.

The remodelling of each school’s existing structure is also required. Works include rearranging site entrances and the staff, student and visitor circulation.
