Architect sought for Thomastown special needs housing
Camphill Communities of Ireland is on the hunt for an architect to design five houses for young adults with learning disabilities in Thomastown, Kilkenny
The winning architect-led design team will design and project manage the construction of the new units on Ladywell Street.
The charity has run an organic café, shop, art gallery and garden on the site since 1993.
Camphill Communities aim to provide people with special needs opportunities to find independence and employment.
The movement was founded by Austrian paediatrician Karl König in the mid-Twentieth Century and so far there are more than 100 Camphill Communities around the world.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 29 August.
