Architect sought for Robin Hood Gardens redevelopment

[Expressions of interest due by November 30] Swan Housing, Tower Hamlets Council and the Greater London Authority are seeking practices for the next two phases of Robin Hood Garden’s regeneration

The development is part of the £500 million Blackwall Reach Regeneration Project which replaces the Smithsons’ 1970s brutalist estate in Poplar, east London.

A detailed planning application for the scheme’s first 98-home phase designed by Aedas (pictured) was submitted last month.

Practices with experience in residential-led regeneration schemes are now being sought for the next two phases which will deliver 1,575 new homes.

Alongside housing, the scheme is expected to include commercial and community facilities and ‘significant’ public open space.
