Architect sought for Glasgow Citizens Theatre revamp

[Requests to participate to be received by 14 September] Glasgow’s Citizens Theatre is on the hunt for an architect to work on the £6.5m redevelopment of its Grade B listed building

Planned to complete by mid 2016, the contract covers all RIBA stages and covers works identified by a dilapidation survey, internal reorganising and upgrading of existing spaces and new build. The appointed architect will lead the design team.

The project’s construction value is £6.5 million excluding professional fees which are due to be charged as a percentage of the works value.

The theatre’s auditorium currently seats 500 people with a foyer capable of holding 200 guests and rehearsal rooms totaling 233m².
