Architect sought for Fort Bovisand regeneration

Plans are sought to create a visitor attraction at the derelict Tudor coastal fort in Devon

The project calls for a change of use and regeneration of the Scheduled Ancient Monument, following a Heritage Lottery Fund contribution.

Design services are called for to create a visitor attraction which “would help bring the fort’s history to life” with some private residences also an option on part of the site.

Plymouth City Council Leader Tudor Evans added, ‘there’s no doubt that these are big and ambitious ideas that have enormous potential to open up yet another part of Plymouth’s waterfront and heritage.’

Expressions of interest are due 3 January 2014 through the tender, invitations to participate are expected 6 January.
